Bij het maken van een backup van de user-directory, wat overigens goed ging, deed zich het volgende probleem voor. Nadat ik voor testdoeleinden die backup-directory wilde verwijderen, kreeg ik bovenstaande foutmeldingen. Ook met shift + del gaat het niet.
Een oplossing is dan cygwin. Met deze linuxtools onder windows kreeg ik het wel voor elkaar.

Het commando is rm met de opties -r -R -f. Kijk wel uit: Zorg, dat je in de goede directory staat.

By default, rm does not remove directories. Use the --recursive (-r or -R)
option to remove each listed directory, too, along with all of its contents.

To remove a file whose name starts with a '-', for example '-foo',
use one of these commands:

Note that if you use rm to remove a file, it might be possible to recover
some of its contents, given sufficient expertise and/or time. For greater
